Poroshad Mahdi completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto, where she received a Bachelor of Arts (with High Distinction) in Political Science and Psychology. She received her law degree from the University of Toronto concurrently with a M.A. in International Relations and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2002. She articled with Blake, Cassels & Graydon L.L.P. and joined Lisa Gelman & Associates in January 2004.
Prior to joining this firm, Ms. Mahdi was extensively involved with various international human rights organizations, where she gained valuable experience in the impact of law from a labour perspective. Poroshad practices exclusively in the areas of family law and wrongful dismissal.
