Lisa Ruth Gelman graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1993, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1995. Lisa has been in private practice for approximately 10 years.

In 2001, she began the law firm of Lisa R. Gelman & Associates and later founded the law firm of Altmid, Gicza, Gelman, Silverstone & Roll. Lisa Gelman founded the law firm of Gelman & Associates.
