How do I ask the court to be represented by a third party who is not a lawyer and will not be receiving compensation for services rendered?

Rule 4(1)(c) of the Family Law Rules permits a party to be represented by a non-lawyer but only if the court gives permission in advance. You will have to bring a motion.
